New Workspace Plans
Understand the differences between current and legacy plans for workspaces and organizations.
On April 23, 2026, Render introduced new pricing plans for workspaces and organizations. These new plans remove seat fees, add self-serve compliance features, and update billing for outbound bandwidth and custom domains.
Each new plan maps to a legacy plan:
| New plan | Replaces |
|---|---|
| Hobby | |
| Professional | |
| Organization | |
| Enterprise |
If your workspace is on a legacy plan, you can move to any of the new pricing plans from your workspace's Billing page.

FAQ
Why is Render introducing new pricing plans?
Render's new pricing plans are designed to better support teams as they grow.
The plans replace per-seat billing with flat monthly fees, so your plan cost stays predictable as your team scales. Features like compliance reports and audit logs are now available at lower tiers, and bandwidth and custom domains are billed based on usage, so you only pay for the resources you actually use.
Can I move back to a legacy plan after opting in to a new plan?
No. Moving from a legacy plan to a new plan is a permanent action.
Will moving to a new plan cause downtime for my services?
No. All of your services will remain up and running.
Are compute prices changing?
No. Compute pricing is not changing at this time. These changes only affect the pricing structure for your workspace plan.
Will my bill increase?
Most customers will see their bill stay the same or decrease. The move to flat plan fees means teams with multiple members typically pay less. A small number of paid workspaces with a single seat, high bandwidth usage, or many custom domains may see an increase. If this applies to your workspace, Render will reach out to you directly via email.
What if I use more bandwidth or custom domains than my new plan includes?
Your existing resources are not removed when you switch plans. If your usage exceeds what your new plan includes, you're billed for the additional usage:
- Custom domains: $0.25/domain/month beyond your plan's included amount.
- Bandwidth: $0.15/GB beyond your plan's included amount.
I have a Hobby workspace with more than 25 services. What happens when I move?
The new Hobby plan caps each workspace at 25 total services. Render will reach out to you directly via email if this applies to your workspace.
Can I choose which new plan I opt into?
Yes. You can move to a new plan at any time from your workspace's Billing page in the Render Dashboard. You can compare plans to choose the one that best fits your needs. For details, see Moving to a new plan.
