Participation Terms

Eligibility

To participate in Render's App of the Month contest, your application must be actively hosted on Render. You must have the legal rights to submit the application and consent to its promotion.

Submission Requirements

  • App must be hosted on Render
  • Valid Render Service ID must be provided (for multi-service apps, use your frontend/web service ID)
  • App must be publicly accessible
  • Submission must include accurate information
  • Contact email must be valid for follow-up communication

Voting

Voting is open to the public. To maintain fairness, we implement rate limiting based on IP address and device fingerprinting. Each user may vote for up to 5 different apps per contest cycle, with one vote per app.

Content Guidelines

All submissions must comply with Render's Terms of Service. Apps that contain illegal content, malware, or violate intellectual property rights will be rejected.

Submission Review

All submissions are subject to review by Render admins. Render reserves the right to reject or remove any submission at its sole discretion, without obligation to provide specific reasons. This includes but is not limited to submissions that don't meet our quality standards, violate our guidelines, or are deemed inappropriate for the contest.

Winner Selection

Winners are determined by the number of votes received during the voting period. Render admins will review vote integrity and may disqualify submissions that engage in vote manipulation or other unfair practices.

Prizes

Each month's winner receives:

  • $500 in Render credits — Applied to your Render account to help cover hosting costs
  • Winner badge — Permanent "App of the Month Winner" badge displayed on your submission
  • Social media spotlight — Your app featured across Render's social media channels

Prize fulfillment is subject to verification of eligibility and compliance with these terms. Render reserves the right to modify prize offerings at any time.

Promotion and Rights

By submitting your app, you grant Render permission to:

  • Feature your app on the App of the Month website
  • Promote winning apps through Render's marketing channels (social media, etc.)
  • Use screenshots and descriptions provided in your submission
  • Contact you regarding your submission or win

Privacy

We collect and store IP addresses and device fingerprints for voting integrity purposes only. This data is hashed and not used for any other purpose. Your contact email will only be used for contest-related communication.

Changes to Terms

Render reserves the right to modify these participation terms at any time. Continued participation constitutes acceptance of any changes.
